Pax 3 Vaporizer Review
Did you like the Pax 2 vaporizer? If so, then you’re going to love what Pax is putting out next…
Pax Labs has announced the Pax 3 vaporizer for release and the new product that takes the art of vaping to the next level.
It might look similar to the Pax 2, but it’s got some convenient new features that will put the Pax 3 at the top of your list. As a high quality product at an affordable price, experts are giving it raving reviews. Everyone loved the Pax 2, but the newest version—Pax 3—has some new key features that has experts impressed. Pax Labs clearly listened to their customers and delivered with several key upgrades. We got our hands on an early demo and we very impressed.
Pax 3 Review
#1) It’s affordable. The new Pax 3 Vaporizer comes at a more affordable price than the Pax 2 launched at. The attractive price point still offers one of the highest quality products out there, especially with the new upgrades. This lower price will allow users to buy and test it out. While other high quality vaporizers may cost a few hundred dollars, the Pax 3 rings in below our other 2016 favorite portable vaporizer- the FireFly 2. Users who are just getting into vapes or haven’t found a need for a $400 vaporizer have a perfect opportunity to get the quality of high end without paying an arm and a leg for it. Additionally, experienced users get the privilege of comparing their favorite vaporizers to something that is more affordable.
#2) It’s convenient. Though the Pax 2 was already advanced, the new Pax 3 takes it to the next level with a few key upgrades. First, it has a quicker heat-up time (just a mere 15 seconds), the Pax 3 offers something new that other vaporizers can’t touch—convenience. Not only is it very portable, but this quick heat-up time means you can enjoy the benefits with less wait time. This also means you’re already heated for later uses- it stays hot. For those of you in non-legal states, being stealth is a huge concern and the faster heat up time is a welcome addition in this respect.
The charge time of the Pax 3 is a new convenience for those who are on the go. Why wait hours to charge your vaporizer when the Pax 3 offers around a 60-minute charge? The Firefly 2 has a crazy fast charge, but now the Pax 3 gives it a run for its money at a lower price point! You’d think with a more powerful battery (3500 mAh instead of 3000) you’d have to wait longer. But this more powerful battery is also more efficient when it comes to charging the device. But this also means it’s got twice the power of the Pax 2!
Something we’ve learned with vaporizers is that one temperature doesn’t fit all. Each user has a specific heat setting that seems to work best. Not a problem for the Pax 3. It offers the mobile phone app with Bluetooth in the device, the change you’ve been wanting. This allows for convenient adjustments to get the results you prefer. The app allows the design of the actual device to remain sleek, light, and compact.
The size of the Pax 3 is yet another spec that the experts are excited about. A few other vaporizers have proven to be difficult to load due to a very small size, or so large that it doesn’t carry well. Not too big or small, the Pax 3 fits nicely in hand but isn’t so small to make loading material inconvenient. The design of the new Pax 3 is a bit more discreet than the Firefly 2. It is sleek and can fit into your pocket easily.
#3) Major Upgrades with 2-in-1 vaping. The major complaint users had on the previous model was that you could not use concentrates without serious modifications. The Pax 3 is considered a 2-in-1 dual purpose vape and you can use concentrate or dry herbs.
[alert type=yellow ]Whatever your preference or mood, the Pax 3 allows for versatile use. [/alert]
But the Pax 3 offers something other dual-use vaporizers don’t…Now it contains three ovens. This surpasses previous versions of other vaporizers like the Firefly 2, which is only meant to burn dry herbs.
How To Use The Pax 3 Vaporizer
Here are the capacity features:
1) Full-pack oven- this section is standard for vaporizers and is offered in other Pax general products and other vaporizers
2) Half-pack oven- this allows you to use “half” the material if you’d like, or use just for single vaping. Maybe you’re new to vaping, or maybe you just don’t want the added cost of loading new material into the vaporizer every time. This feature gives you the decision of how much to use.
3) New concentrate oven– this is totally new, and is an awesome feature you can use to vaporize concentrates. Basically you just switch the mode to concentrate, and you’re good to go!
Pax 3 Colors
One of the important factors of purchasing a new vaporizer is how much it will actually hold. The more it can hold, the longer your vape sessions will last. Additionally, the bowl capacity is nice on this vaporizer.
Where the Firefly 2 holds between .1-.2 grams of shredded material, the bowl on the Pax 3 vaporizer holds .25 grams of material, allowing for around 100 puffs if it’s fully charged.
The smaller the bowl, the less it holds. For medicinal users or just someone on the go who enjoys a heavier session, it can be annoying to have to reload a small bowl many times. So the Pax 3 may be more beneficial for a user who likes a heavier session. If you enjoy a lighter vape session or have a lower tolerance, you can simply load less material into the bowl.
In these new models, it’s important to remember how to switch from dry herbs to a concentrate. This required a bit of a learning curve in our 1st test of the Firefly 2, because you have to use specified pads for vaping, but with the new Pax 3, the switch over is an easy change and doesn’t require pads. So if you’re unsatisfied with the longevity of your vape sessions or if you’re not getting the same taste on round 2 or 3, the Pax 3 is your best bet.
As if those new features aren’t enough to convince you the Pax 3 is the most streamlined and overall awesome vaporizer out there, here are some other new feature it offers: lip sensing technology, mirror polished anodized aluminum material, full color LED indicator, and color option of black, gold, silver, or a limited edition rose gold option.
Not to mention our favorite feature of Pax Labs products, it comes with a 10-year warranty!
Is It Worth The Upgrade From The Pax 2?
For Pax 2 fans who also had the original Pax Ploom, do not expect another massive leap like that. The size is the same as the Pax 2 but we feel like the fast heat up time and large capacity makes the Pax 3 worthy of the upgrade. If those don’t convince you, then the addition of of being able to use concentrates on the go should. That was our biggest gripe on the Pax 2 and our favorite feature of the updated model.
